Trump’s Afternoon Delight - Hotels Where Bad S%$# Happens
Karen Walker | August 1st, 2006
Once a ritzy establishment, the St. Moritz took a dive after excessive over-use and became the haunt of many discount travel groups arriving in the Big Apple on a budget.
In its prime, Donald ‘The Don’ Trump once owned the St. Moritz and, as hotel owner, afforded himself a few perks. One perk in particular was to use the St. Moritz as a getaway to take his then lover Marla Maples when they desired a bit of afternoon delight. It’s rumoured that, before the two were married in 1993, The Don would take his soon-to-be second wife to a specially built, soundproofed room and get jiggy. The soundproofing came as a result of Marla’s inability to stay quiet during the whole ordeal. In other words, she was a Screamer.
And to top if off, the St. Moritz was also the location for a certain Judy Garland to try and leap from a window, only to have her friend Liza (yes, that Liza, the only woman in Los Angeles with her own stomach pump) to hold onto her ankles and save her from certain death.
