By the time Sarah (aka creative director/head buyer of the 9-year old famed shopping mecca colette) reads this she’s going to be pissed. She’s not one for “spotlight” interviews you see and never agrees to even having her photo taken. Anyway, we’ll deal with that when this story gets printed.
Like her mother (colette), she is known simply as Sarah - since when were surnames important anyway? And when she’s not falling asleep in front of her computer trying to answer one of the thousands of emails sent to her daily, she be found at any of the following places:
1. The Eiffel Tower - Illuminated by thousands of lights for the first ten minutes of every hour from 9pm - midnight every night. Just looking at this makes me happy and makes me think of how beautiful Paris is.
2. Jardin des Tuileries Carnival - You know its summer when i’m jumping on the trampolines until sundown just around the corner from colette. a favourite pastime of mine for years.
3. Paris Paris Club - Oour colette dance classes take place here on the first monday of each month. Lots of fun.
4. Kunitoraya restaurant - The best Japanese food in paris. You can order the tempura cold udon with closed eyes, it will be delicious. Really authentic and friendly, better to stay on the ground floor at the bar than in the basement.
5. Ladureé - Classic french patisseries and the best macaroons in the world. Heaven. My favourites are violette and framboise…often copied but the macaroon Laduree remains the unique and only one, a pure happiness moment!
