Best of Brisbane

On a recent short stay in Brisbane I was thrilled to stay in the lovely Emporium Hotel. Everything you could ask for in a chic, boutique hotel including its location in the slightly grungy and deeply cool Fortitude Valley.

The Belle Epoque Café
next door is a handy spot for breakfast. A complete knock off, tile for tile, of New York’s Balthazar, but a mean croissant all the same.

The rest of Fortitude Valley is full of the grooviest of stores. The best amongst them Blonde Venus and The Outpost. Don’t miss out on Famingo Café while you’re in the neighourhood.

The best place for eating in Brisbane is Logan Road. The cutest spots there are Pearl Cafe, Enoteca , Bistrot Bistro and The Crosstown Eating House. All intimate, cosy and chic.
