Singapore Stopover - The Quincy Hotel

Hallelujah! A hotel utterly conceived around the understanding that those checking in might be suffering from a common ailment called jet-lag.
The Quincy Hotel, Singapore, ticks all the boxes.
Early check-in to suit arrival times of transworld planes? Check. Super-fast transit from showing passport at front desk to bedroom with blackout blinds, (with no eager-beaver staffer panhandling for a tip by wasting 20 minutes of snooze time boring you about the minibar)? Check. And, by the way, contents of the mini bar are complimentary.
Fantastic shower, nice range of Molton Brown amenities (yuzu lemon shower gel to wake you up, something rosy and soothing to help you sleep) plus - nice touch this; free toothpaste and toothbrush (love that, so few hotels forget what a challenge it is to unpack when you can hardly focus), and, free, two pieces of your travel wardrobe laundered while you sleep.
Add very nice staff who will do anything from resetting one’s Blackberry to local time, (of course I can do it myself, but that means I might catch sight of the hour in London and fall asleep right there in the lobby) to giving endless wake-up calls at all hours of the day so you can nap and still make it to meetings.
The rooftop infinity pool is open when you need it (when wide awake at 5am) ditto the steam room. Plus endless bottles of complementary mineral water, fast Wi-Fi and breakfast, lunch, dinner all included in the rate. Limo pick up from the airport is affordable and once you’ve slept, you’ll feel confident to take the $2 train back to Changhi to catch your ongoing flight.
Top marks!
