With a dream location right in the middle of Soho, The Soho House owned Dean Street Townhouse is my favourite of the many great hotels in London.
The four story Georgian townhouse mixes cosmopolitan cool with Georgian elegance and cosy homeliness. In two words: chic Nana.
As with everything in London there’s history. It was once home to great British artist William Hogarth, and later, as The Gargyle Club a regular spot for Fred Astair and later, Francis Bacon.
The 39 rooms range from “broom cupboard” to spacious, the house parlour is elegantly homely, the reception cosy and chic.
The ground floor restaurant is a great place at any time of day.
