Despite being a terribly nervous flier, this morning I found myself riding passenger in a little ultralight aircraft having unwittingly signed up for it the night before with a few glasses of wine in me. Turned out to be a breath taking flight, and mostly smooth. The plane belonged to friend, colleague and flying enthusiast Dave Starbuck. We launched from half way up Maui’s Mount Haleakala and spent an hour cruising up and down the North Shore.
