The freshest food in Australia? I know it’s a challenge to get you to believe it could be in Alice Springs, the desert town that is the capital of the Red Centre. Yet Tinh & Lan Alice Vietnamese restaurant attracts people from far and wide. To be fair, everything in the Outback is far and wide + Tinh & Lan have no competition for miles; perhaps thousands of miles but all that said, the food here is still damn good. The secret; a vast and well-tended market garden and veggies that go from the ground to plate in a matter of hours. The bok choi with ginger is almost worth crossing the Outback for.
If however you are simply crossing Alice Springs, the restaurant is not the easiest to find. It is so far out of town that you start to think it cannot possibly be way out here… yet it is. And it is good.
